We are often asked to clarify the sensor cable wiring, hopefully the description below helps.
The lighting power circuit cable will be connected in parallel.
Parallel means they will connect live to live and neutral to neutral and loop the supply cable along the circuit.
Series means the incoming cable pair will have one core connected to one side of the sensor and one core of the outgoing cable to the other. The remaining pair of wires are then connected together to form a series connection.
At the end of the circuit the pair will be connected directly to the sensor.
